I know. It's okay. It's been a thing for a lot of people. Not even the first time, I don't think. This just happens sometimes. Crossed wires or something, I don't know.

I wouldn't call it super common or anything, but it has happened before. Probably nothing to be really worried about, but you might want to be a little careful with how you open your conversations until it passes.

Guess I'll have to start these things with "This is Aoyagi Ritsuka, I'm trying to reach ____, is this them?"

Met, been threatened by, and have had the pleasure of being considered 'of use' to him.

We met back in Deerington. He's trying to convince me he's off his bullshit.

Yeah, that's where I met him too. We don't really get along so great either - there was a whole murder/attempted murder/property destruction thing. He is less murdery than he was in Deerington, but that's not really saying a whole lot?

And so I keep being told about him being less murder-y. Going from a 10 to an 8 on the murder scale is not nearly as impressive as people think it is.

I've never attempted to murder him or caused property damage, I'm just able to give him something he wants.

I'm not saying he's not still incredibly dangerous or that he should be trusted, but a little improvement is still improvement. Besides, I didn't try to kill him until after he killed me, and even then, there was a whole corruption/revenge thing that kind of had a big influence too.

Trust me, I'm usually way avoidy when it comes to people like him.

What is it he wants from you, anyway?

Then let his endless friends be the ones to cheer on his improvement. I do need to go "good job for not murdering someone today."

I can... amplify his powers, magnify them if we have a bond. I'm trying to sever it, he's trying to make it stronger, because the bond doesn't have to be out of kindness. It could be formed out of hatred, doesn't matter the why, only that it needs to be strong. Which is ideal for him.

I'd guess they're probably already all over it. Maybe you can get them on the 'get this guy to stop bugging me' train?

That sounds like it has the potential to be really dangerous. He's already plenty powerful - he really doesn't need any help in that department. Have you figured out how to sever it yet?

Something about a sword and bonds. But my bond is from my world, don't know if it would work on it if it's meant to do the bonds here.

Uh, god, that's a good question. I don't really keep a list of his friends. He's involved with some guy named Reaper, but he's just as bad as Maul is. His brother, Savage, is nice, though.

Yeah, there's a sword here that can be used to sever bonds, but it also cuts you off from your emotions. So it's not really a great solution, and that's even if it would work. You might be better off with some magical protection or something from him.

Somehow, it feels like someone named Reaper and someone named Savage are less likely to tell him to stop bothering me. But sure, I'll think about it.

Wait... what? No one said anything about it cutting me off from my emotions.

There's other people he knows here too. I think he and Usagi are still close. He knows Oscar and Faith too, but I don't think either one of them are going to be much of an influence over him.

Yeah. The sword is a really useful weapon. It can cure beasthood, too. It's just that there's a cost that comes with using it.

The emotions thing, that's permanent?

Well, you don't have to deal with it alone. Try not to be afraid to reach out for help if you need it, okay? It's not worth dying over.

Some of the research I've done on it isn't super clear if it's permanent, or even if it just affects the two people involved. I'll see what I can find, though, and send it over.

There's not. It's happened to me a few times now. It's not a fun time, trust me.

It's not a problem, really. It's not even out of my way - I'm at the Archives a lot, anyway.

... You've died several times now? Is... is this like the Deerington thing, you die, come back, and shit gets taken from you?

Yeah. Once in Deerington, twice here. The first time here, I lost all memory of Trench for awhile. We thought maybe it had to do with being in Deerington before this - you know, maybe death rules from there were still applying.

Now? I'm not so sure. The, uh, second time I died here, it was in July, and everything was total chaos with Mariana anyway - coming back not... working predictably, or anything. It's complicated, but I'm in no rush to try again to see if my first theory was right.

Anyway, no, you don't have to give me anything in return. It's really not a big deal to go look something up for someone.

Short of you being a very specific kind of individual, I can't see anyone actively choosing to die over and over. I suppose you could ask around but I'd hate to get an answer.
