You have been invited for Ruby Rose's birthday party!

The party will be held at the house Ruby lives in over in the Gaze district. [ There are directions, since Ange definitely sent out a mass text, but.. well. Willow knows where it is, obviously. ] Feel free to dress up or not - you know Ruby won't mind either way. You're also free to bring a present if you want to. If you want to bring one, but you're having trouble thinking of what to get her, you can ask me, I guess.

.. Or Oscar. Actually, ask Oscar.

[ Please don't make her talk to people. ]

Let's do our best to make it fun for Ruby. She's had a really crappy time around this time last year, and I know she would love to be surrounded by her friends.

Don't worry, I wouldn't miss it for anything! I already told Ruby I'd make her brownies too.

Thanks. I couldn't make her something like that myself, so I really appreciate it. I even had to ask Oscar to make food for the party..

[ Because if Ange would've made it, it definitely would have been accidentally poisoned. Emphasis on accidentally. ]

No problem - I'm glad I can do something to help. And come on, I don't think there's too many people who live here who could outcook Oscar. Or, you know. Anyone.

It's kind of sad when you realise you're saying that about someone way younger than us.

[ Are they all just that bad at cooking?

(Yes.) ]

Hey, there's nothing wrong with recognizing talent. Oscar is a way better cook than any other fifteen year olds I've known. I've known some kids who are still doing weird experimental recipes at that age.

[entreats]

This feels like a callout.

[ It's mostly a joke - after all, Ange knows Willow isn't talking about her.

But it would have been totally applicable anyway, because Ange still doesn't know how to cook well at all. ]

But I guess some of us have other talents instead.

If it's any consolation, I'm pretty sure you could out deadpan Oscar any day of the week?

I'm pretty sure of that too.

Though I'm not exactly sure if I'd call that an extraordinary talent.

Sure it is. We can even make it an award. Most Sarcastic. You'd definitely win, hands down!

But that means we'd have to make up an award for you too, you know.

What would you qualify for? Most helpful, maybe. Even if you've got some stiff competition here.

I don't know. I think Oscar might have me beat on that one too.

That's selling yourself short!

Oscar hasn't offered to help me figure out my witch powers, you know. You've got that one on him.

Oscar's also not a witch. Besides, especially since I have to re-learn myself anyway, it's not like it's out of the way to help you too.

He has witch-y powers, doesn't he?

And granted, even then, those still probably different from the kind of powers they have, but still. But still! Ange is petulant enough to not allow this argument to be taken away from her. ]

Point is, you were the first person to ever offer me help with that sort of thing, aside from the spirit of my dead cousin. So it means a lot to me.

I don't know if I'd describe what he can do as witchy, but I guess maybe sort of?

Anyway, of course I'm gonna help. We'll figure it out together - make it easier for both of us, right?
