At least the memory of Luna is clearly from when she was younger, and while that eliminates the possibility of a broadcast to call for help for something that's happening right now, it doesn't make what happened then any less horrifying.
Luna is brave. Luna is silent. Luna chooses to face immense pain, and a clearly unhinged witch to protect her friends, and it doesn't come as a surprise at all.
It's still not easy to witness, but difficult to look away as well, and Willow can't help wincing as scene plays out.
